Dr. Jeevanjot Matharoo is a specialist in Radiology and has pursued her M.B.B.S from J.J.M Medical college , Davangere, Karnataka affliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and MD in Radio Diagnosis from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Belgaum, Karnataka under K.L.E University.

She has over eight years of experience in the field of Radiology and is adept in multimodality imaging with special interest in Breast and Women’s Imaging. Having obtained a dedicated fellowship in Breast Imaging (Fellow in National Board and Breast Imaging Society of India accredited) she is proficient in all facets of Breast Imaging modalities like digital mammograms, sono mammograms and Breast MRI. She is also well trained in breast interventional procedures like core needle biopsy, wire localization of breast lesions, clip placement, Fine needle aspirations, Stereotactic guided biopsy and the modern technique like vacuum assisted biopsy of the breast. She has also pursued many other short term radiological fellowships (neuro imaging and body imaging) and observerships (non GI imaging and musculoskeletal imaging).

Since entering academic practice as a fellow in Breast Imaging she actively focused on novel technologies aimed at increasing accuracy of breast cancer detection while minimizing the drawbacks of imaging-guided detection. Her primary career goal as a subspecialist in breast imaging is to detect breast cancer at the earliest and most treatable stage in keeping with international guidelines while minimizing patient anxiety and discomfort with a professional and compassionate attitude.

She has worked in many renowned hospitals in North India like Medanta, the Medicity, Artemis healthcare and Fortis hospitals where she had exposure to variety of cases.

Dr. Jeevanjot has many case series/ posters/ papers in national and international journals to her name and has attended many state and national conferences. She has authored a chapter on “MRI in Breast Cancer” in the book BREAST CANCER published by Springer Nature. She has been an active organizer and host of National Breast Imaging Conferences and has also conducted breast intervention workshop therein. She has also been awarded 1st prize in quiz competition in National Breast Imaging conference.

She is a life member of Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA), Breast Imaging Society of India (BISI) and also holds membership for EURORAD (European society of Radiology).
